A new version of Cesar has been released. What's new in it?
- Updates have been made to the following codes: ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.5, B31.8, EN 13480-3:2017/A5, API 617, ASCE 7 and IBC.
- The ASME B31.12 – 2019 code for the design of industrial hydrogen pipelines and systems has been added. As a result, new Mf and Y factors will appear when selecting this code. By default, the Mf factor is selected according to Table IX-5 in B31.12, and the Y factor has a minimum value of 0.4.
- By default, the program will use SIF from Annex D in B31.3-2018. If we want to use B31J, we need to set it in the configuration file.
- The ASME B31.12 – 2019 PL part that is used for the design of transmission piping often refers to B31.8, which is not surprising. The “Allowable Stresses” menu contains three columns: Su, SX, and F.
- Due to the introduction of code B31.12, 119 new materials were added to the database.
